UNDERSTAND THE SERVICE

A clear scope.
An informed next step.

Agree the employment model before deployment. Agency contract labour and a hospital’s directly engaged fixed-term employees are different arrangements.

WHY YOUR HOSPITAL NEEDS THIS WORKING PARTNERSHIP

Connect staffing deployment with hospital continuity.

We coordinate defined roles, candidate availability, verification, induction, attendance, reliever planning and deployment reporting under the staffing agreement.

01 / APPLICABLE FRAMEWORK

Government &
regulatory position.

The requirement depends on the programme, state, services and workforce model. References below support the regulatory overview; confirm the current notice and facility-specific applicability before applying.

Role and competency

Use the current NCVET qualification record and verified individual skills when defining GDA work. Personal care, patient comfort and assistance do not confer a nursing or medical licence. [1]

Current employment framework

Assess the Labour Codes, applicable rules, wage notifications, working conditions and social-security coverage. Review whether the proposed contracted activity is permitted and which registrations/licences are needed before mobilisation. [2][3]

Fixed-term versus agency labour

The Ministry’s additional FAQs distinguish direct fixed-term employment from contractor-supplied workers. Choose the correct agreement and benefit treatment for the actual relationship. [4]

Hospital oversight

Check contractor enrolment/remittance evidence and the hospital’s applicable principal-employer duties. EPFO provides a facility for monitoring contractor compliance; outsourcing is not proof that all hospital obligations disappear. [5]

02 / VALUE FOR THE HOSPITAL

What stronger
systems can support.

01

Planned shift coverage

An agreed roster and reliever process support continuity of non-clinical assistance.

02

Clear support roles

Defined duties and nursing supervision help staff understand boundaries.

03

Accountable workforce management

Attendance, verification and escalation records improve visibility.

04

Transparent staffing costs

An itemised rate sheet separates wages, employer costs, relievers, supervision and service fees.

Potential operational benefits depend on implementation and the hospital’s circumstances. No approval, saving, patient volume or payment outcome is guaranteed.

03 / PREPARE YOUR EVIDENCE

Documents
to organise.

This is a preparation checklist. The official application or a facility-specific compliance review may require additional items. Keep patient records, worker identity documents and bank details out of the website enquiry form.

04 / FROM DISCUSSION TO DELIVERY

Your step-by-step
working plan.

Suggested hospital and consulting workflow. Official assessment, inspection and decision stages follow the selected authority’s current process.

  1. 01

    Define staffing needs

Confirm roles, tasks, headcount, shifts, supervision and required competencies.

  2. 02

    Review the legal model

Identify the employer and hospital responsibilities; obtain state/activity-specific advice on licensing and permitted deployment.

  3. 03

    Agree a transparent contract

Specify wage assumptions, benefits, working hours, relief, supervision, service fees and replacement terms.

  4. 04

    Source and verify

Check candidates, skills, documents and suitability before confirming availability.

  5. 05

    Induct and deploy

Provide role-specific hospital orientation, safety/infection training and a signed roster with named supervisors.

  6. 06

    Reconcile every month

Approve attendance, verify wages and applicable remittances, review absences and resolve grievances.

  7. 07

    Review and transition

Monitor performance, replacements and incidents; manage renewals or exit with settlement of applicable dues.

WHAT COMPLETION MEANS

Deployment is confirmed only after availability, verification, the agreement and site induction. A proposal does not mean employees are already available or government-certified.

05 / SHARED ACCOUNTABILITY

owns each action.

THE HOSPITAL

Your responsibilities

  • Provide safe working arrangements, supervision and accurate attendance approvals.
  • Check applicable principal-employer responsibilities and contractor evidence.
  • Prevent deployment outside approved duties; assign clinical work only to qualified authorised personnel.
THE AGREED CONSULTING SCOPE

CareAxis support

  • Role/headcount assessment, sourcing and deployment coordination.
  • Verification, induction, roster and replacement coordination.
  • Payroll and compliance deliverables only as defined for the actual employer/model.
View the complete service deliverables
  • Staffing requirement assessment by role, headcount, location and shift
  • GDA, ward attendant, patient support and other non-clinical staffing assignments
  • Contract workforce support for housekeeping, reception, administration and facility teams
  • Candidate sourcing, document checks and background verification coordination
  • Role-specific induction, conduct standards and hospital orientation
  • Duty rosters, attendance, reliever planning and replacement coordination
  • Payroll processing or coordination, with responsibilities defined in the staffing agreement
  • Workforce supervision, performance reviews and employee grievance coordination
  • Deployment reporting and statutory compliance coordination with qualified advisers

Deployment is subject to candidate availability, role suitability, verification and a written staffing agreement. GDA support duties are performed within the assigned role and under hospital supervision; clinical procedures remain with appropriately qualified professionals. The agreement defines the employer, wages, payroll, statutory responsibilities, shifts, supervision and replacement terms.

06 / COMMERCIAL PLANNING

Costs, timing
and common pitfalls.

HOW TO PLAN

Requirement-based deployment, temporary assignments and ongoing contract staffing

Quote by role, location, wage category, hours, days and headcount. Show wages, applicable employer contributions/benefits, leave/reliever provision, uniforms/training, supervision, service fee and applicable taxes separately. Never promise a lawful rate without checking the current wage notification.
